In 1990 , Perpetual Help College of Laguna was granted the authority by the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS) to operate the two (2) year Associate in Hotel and Restaurant Management ( AHRM) course. Full government recognition to the AHRM program was given in 1992 , and in 1995 , the degree for the Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (BSHRM) was fully recognized under the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

In 1997 , the institution was bestowed the university status , thus, the College of Nutrition and Dietetics (ND) / Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRM) was created.

Several personalities have been vital in the development and growth of the college, among them are Ms. Victoria Chavez , Ms. Maria L. Francisco, Ms. Helen Villanueva-Jackson. Ms. Rosa Geronimo, Ms. Rosanne Galang, and currently at helm, Dean Gertrude G. Gupiteo.

In 2003 , the College of ND/HRM was formally identified as the College of International Hospitality Management , as it continually expanded its linkages, trainings and exposures in the international hospitality industry.
