Because of the remarkable achievements of the college during his term, the Perpetual Help College of Laguna was granted Government Recognition in various Engineering programs, to cite: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in June 19, 1987; Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in June 5, 1985. College of Engineering was awarded Level I by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) in June 30, 1995.

With the supervision of the present Dean, Dr. Flocerfida L. Amaya, College of Engineering is actively committed to the continuous pursuit of excellence in quality education and instruction to academically respond to the needs of national development and to the educative demands of its environs.

Through her comprehensive and relevant educational programs, the college dedicates itself to the training of students to become competent engineers infused with moral values and receptive to the changing demands of Science and Technology here in the country and in all parts of the globe. After two decades of indefatigable effort of the college in providing excellent service to its clientele, College of Engineering is now known as one of the best Engineering schools in Region IV. With its well-equipped laboratories, relevant and competitive educational programs together with the sound practicum courses, would be engineers are introduced to the engineering world. Complementing these are highly – qualified and competent faculty staff from a rigid selection and training.

UPHL Engineering graduates have consistently maintained over and above the National Passing Percentage at the Engineering Licensure Examination. The college has produced graduates who are not concerned with technological innovations but also in effective management skills in various industries.

In response to the growing demands of industries in the CALABARZON, Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering were offered in the Academic Year 2000-2001.

At present, the UPHL College of Engineering offers complete undergraduate degree programs with the strong commitment to the formation of technically competent and globally qualified Engineers.
