Located in the heart of Municipality of Malasiqui, Pangasinan, it was founded in 1973 to accelerate the development of health education in the rural areas particularly in the Province of Pangasinan.
From its humble beginning, the University of Perpetual Help System Pangasinan, has now grown substantially.
The College of Arts and Sciences, Business, Education and Nursing have Level II accreditation by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA).

The founders, Drs. Jose and Josefina Tamayo, created an ideal partnership. Dr. Josefina was always at Dr. Jose’s side, a partner in every undertaking until her early demise in 1987. And, as a fitting tribute, University status of Perpetual Help System was granted on the natal day of Dr. Josefina Laperal Tamayo on April 20, 1997.
