AC Vogue 2015, "Ramp for a Cause"

Early this November, the Rotaract Club of University of Perpetual Help System Jonel-ta had its second year of RAC Vogue: Ramp for a Cause at Performing Arts Theatre. This event is hosted by the said Club together with Rotaract Club of Kabatang Maynila and co-hosted with other Rotaract Clubs namely Rotaract Club of Metro Dasmariñas and Dasmariñas City, Cavite. The said event is headed by the World Class President John Calvin Cabali from University of Perpetual Help System—Jonelta, Biñan Campus.

On September 26,2015 the members of the Rotaract Club of University of Perpetual Help System-JONELTA, with the support from different courses including students from College of Criminology, College of International & Hospitality Management, College of Business and Accountancy, College of Arts and Sciences and College of Education joined the tree planting activity hosted by the Haribon Foundation at Mt. Banahaw as their environmental project to support Haribon Foundation’s with the theme “Rainforest Organizations and Advocates (R.O.A.D.) to 2020” which is an environmental conservation movement committed to restore one million hectares of Philippine rainforests using native species by year 2020 through an informed and engaged public.

16th Leadership Training Seminar “Empowered Perpetualite Leaders;
Molding Character for Greatness”

LTS is an annual activity of the SSC that offers activities and seminars for student leaders. The 16th LTS was steered last October 27-30, 2015 at Yahweh Spring Resort, Calamba. This program gave the students a chance to develop and improve their leadership and socialization skills. The preparation for the LTS was not easy as we expected. There were lots of reservation, canvassing, ocular visits, meeting and brainstorming. The officers of the SSC gave their suggestions and ideas for the activity. After so many meetings, the officers came up with a 4-day itinerary that was full of activities and talks. We also decided to have 135 delegates from the different courses and departments in our University.

LTS is an annual activity of the SSC that offers activities and seminars for student leaders. The 16th LTS was steered last October 27-30, 2015 at Yahweh Spring Resort, Calamba. This program gave the students a chance to develop and improve their leadership and socialization skills. The preparation for the LTS was not easy as we expected. There were lots of reservation, canvassing, ocular visits, meeting and brainstorming. The officers of the SSC gave their suggestions and ideas for the activity. After so many meetings, the officers came up with a 4-day itinerary that was full of activities and talks. We also decided to have 135 delegates from the different courses and departments in our University.

In the First Day October 27, the mass started at 1:00 PM in the afternoon at Chapel, the departure time was 3:00PM and they arrived around 6:00PM in the evening afterwards we started the Registration and the designation of rooms. The dinner was 6:00PM followed by our first activity the groupings of the delegates, we divided them in nine (9) groups and each group has their one color that will represent their team. In addition, each group needs to have their yell. Right after the introduction of groups, we begin the “trust walk” and swimming for the welcoming of the event in the resort.

The Focus of Student Personnel Services

The Student Personnel Services is an office that provides and supports a variety of school-based prevention, intervention, and educationally –based services to assist all students to become productive students and Christian-centered professionals in the future. These services are provided by SPS professional staff to meet the particular needs of students.

The Student Personnel Services is focused with four major facet in the University: Students’ Welfare, Students’ Activities, Students’ Decorum, and Students’ Recruitment. The office serves as a link between and among the students, staff, faculty members, and the administration. It also concern itself in the implementation of rules, policies, and regulations of the University as stated in the Handbook.
