Adding another milestone to the research achievements of the university, faculty researchers from the College of Arts and Sciences and College of Education bagged best speaker and best paper awards at the 1st International Virtual Research Conference on Education for Sustainable Development organized by the Bicol College of Applied Sciences and Technology on November 24-26, 2020.





Dr. Antonio R. Yango topped the roster of research presenters in Track 19 (Student Academic Performance) for the research paper entitled "Concept of the Teaching Profession, Academic Performance and Pedagogical Competence of Pre-Service Teachers at a Philippine Private University" which he co-authored with Dr. Ferdinand C. Somido and Dr. Elena A. Salinas. The same paper was awarded as the 2nd Best Conference Paper for Cluster 8 (Student Academic Performance).





Winning the 2nd Best Speaker Award for Track 16 (Research Program and Standardized Assessment), Nimfa R. Marcelo shared the findings of her research entitled "Research Attitude and Readiness of Non-Teaching Personnel in a Private University in the Philippines: Basis for Enhanced Research Program." Dr. Leomar S. Galicia and Albert Rocero served as her co-researchers.

Hailed as 3rd Best Speaker for Track 7 (Educational Leadership), Alma T. Jallorina shared her research report entitled "Challenges Encountered, Engagement and Strategies in Building Community Relations Among Educational Leaders in Philippine Public Schools" which she co-authored with Dr. Leomar S. Galicia. The paper landed as finalist for Best Conference Paper under Cluster 2 (Educational Management on Higher Education).
