University Leaders and Student Council Unite for Stronger Campus Collaboration
Student leaders stepped confidently into the spotlight as the University recently held a meaningful Coordination Meeting that placed collaboration and open dialogue at the heart of leadership.
Led by University Chancellor Dr. Ferdinand C. Somido and Vice Chancellor Dr. Genevieve C. Realon, alongside the Academic Heads, the gathering was more than just a formal meeting, it was a shared space for listening, understanding, and working together. Around the table were not only administrators but student leaders who carry the voices of their fellow students every day.
The atmosphere encouraged honesty and active participation. Student leaders openly shared their insights, raised concerns, and presented proposals aimed at improving campus life and strengthening student support systems. University officials, in turn, listened attentively, reinforcing the message that leadership is most effective when it is shared.
The meeting focused on aligning initiatives, strengthening communication channels, and ensuring that plans and policies reflect the real experiences of the student body. It highlighted the University’s continued commitment to good governance, inclusive decision-making, and meaningful student engagement.
More importantly, the gathering served as a reminder that students are not just beneficiaries of programs. They are partners in shaping them. By empowering student leaders and fostering collaborative leadership, the University continues to build a culture rooted in accountability, cooperation, service, and genuine community.
Through conversations like these, the institution reaffirms that progress is best achieved when every voice is heard and valued.
