UPHSL Celebrates University Week 2025 with Strong Partner Support, Advancing SDG Goals

The University of Perpetual Help System Laguna (UPHSL) marked a vibrant and successful University Week 2025 f rom November 24–28, strengthened by the warm and dedicated support of its external partners. This year’s celebration not only showcased student talent and school spirit but also demonstrated the power of collaboration in building a community- centered academic environment. With the shared efforts of sponsors like DITO Telecommunity, BPI Ayala Westgrove, Manulife, AETOS Financial, Max Restaurant Biñan, and MSI Modelling School, through the coordination of the Office of International and External Affairs led by its director, Dr. Josefa G. Carrillo, the university was able to create a festive and meaningful experience for every Perpetualite, a reflection of its commitment to SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

DITO’s donation of tents and a Balloon Arch helped transform the campus grounds into a dynamic activity hub, while BPI’s financial empowerment initiative gave every student access to open a debit card with a 100-peso opening amount using only their school ID, promoting responsible money management and financial inclusion. Manulife continued its active involvement in supporting the activities by giving financial literacy sessions and giveaways, MSI Modelling School contributed to student engagement, and Max Restaurant Biñan offered the UPHSL community a generous one-year 10% discount, an everyday benefit that students and employees can enjoy long after the festivities.

Beyond the material contributions, the sponsors’ presence added a deeply human element to the celebration. Their involvement showed students that institutions beyond the campus genuinely value their growth, well-being, and future. Dr. Carrillo and the Office of International and External Affairs worked closely with partners to ensure that every activity reflected both community spirit and meaningful collaboration. As the festivities came to a close, the UPHSL community expressed heartfelt gratitude to its partners whose generosity helped create moments of joy, connection, and collective pride. University Week 2025 stands as a reminder that when universities and external organizations work hand in hand, they can shape experiences that empower students and strengthen the community far beyond the celebration itself.
